Alternative to Full Service Design

Over my 20-year career in interior design, I’ve had a plethora of people come to me that didn’t need, want or maybe couldn’t afford Full Service design BUT they valued interior design and what it brings to the table.  I wanted a way to work with these clients and deliver a great design, with all the tools they needed to make a room look complete.

So about 10 years ago, I starting developing the Design Concierge  service.  I knew I would only offer it if it allowed for customizations that improved the quality of everyday life while still delivering the unique aesthetic I’m know for. So after a decade of tweaking and editing my process I’ve streamlined this service to maximize the results.  It is an absolute slam dunk for you to get the biggest bang for your buck while still getting a customized professional design plan that looks great and improves your lifestyle.

How does it work?

This service involves a conference call, some homework on your part and a four hour one on one, in home meeting with me.  I then take all the information I’ve gathered and provide you with a step-by-step digital design guide that I email you within 10 days of our in-home meeting.  These documents provide you with everything you need to execute the design on your own.

I have done multiple rooms for clients in one Design Concierge session with fantastic results.  Here is one example of what was accomplished in a recent Design Concierge session.

Kitchen Remodel

Kitchen remodel – we completely redesigned this kitchen in terms of layout and all selections.  The client received links for all the product we selected and when an exact product was not located, the client knew exactly what to look for on their own.  For example, I provided them with faucet and sink parameters and gave her paint options.

From This……

To This!

Guest Bathroom

Selections made included shower tile, wallpaper, floor tile, counter tops, plumbing etc. and information on how to maximize storage.

Primary Bath

Cabinet designs and better space planning for the shower, tub and toilet plus instructions on how to make the selections and the best vendors to use for her design goals.

Laundry Room

Unique flooring tile that became the favorite selection of her renovation!  We also chose cabinet color and a new countertop.

As you can see, we accomplished A LOT in a short period of time. This isn’t by chance, it is because I’ve spent so many years figuring out the best way to make the most out of the time we have together and giving you the tools to make it happen after I leave.

If you’re wondering what the difference is between Design Concierge and Full Service or if you’d be a good candidate for DC and what it costs, keep on reading and I’ll spell it out.

How do I know if I’m a good candidate for Design Concierge?

1)     You have the right personality traits:

·      Great decision maker

·      Not scared to execute the design on your own (you can do this)

·      Know your problems and what you need help creating solutions for

·      Will do your homework and measure your rooms, look for inspiration photos you love and write down your goals for the service

2)    You don’t need or want the Full-Service experience.

3)    You are budget conscious but still want high level, unique design.  Price of Design Concierge is a $5,900 – flat rate so you know from the get go what you’re spending on design.

4)    You have a tight time line.  Even if you don’t have a tight time line this is a great service, but if you do have a tight time line, this service takes about 10 days from the scheduling of your initial conference call to receiving the digital design document.

I hope this helps you understand a little more about how Design Concierge works and if it is the right service for you. More questions? Give us a call and we can determine if this is the right service for you!
